Managing access for your Redox organization

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: We care about keeping your data secure. Don’t believe us? Read our security docs.

One way to help manage the security of your data is by using access control. This allows you to decide which users can view or interact with your organization and data, as well as your connection’s data. You can also audit when a user creates or updates any assets in your organization.

Why use access control?

Access control has several benefits. With access control, you can:

  1. Mitigate the risk of leaking sensitive data, like PHI, by making sure that only the relevant users can access this kind of data.
  2. Tick those boxes for compliance with any relevant internal or external regulations you need to adhere to.
  3. Reduce the chance of breaking changes by controlling who can make changes or what changes users can make to your Redox organization.

What are the building blocks of access control?

Your Redox organization has three environments. You can add users to one or multiple environments. You assign roles to each user to control which assets they can view or manage.
