Cue the party poppers because we now support multiple regions! To facilitate this data exchange with Canadian organizations, we currently support processing healthcare data in the United States but storing it in Canada. This allows our Canadian friends to exchange healthcare data via Redox without requiring patient consent.
You may be curious to know what this means for Redox, so we're happy to lay it out for you. First, find out what this means for allow-listing. Then, check out the details below.
Whenever you make a web request to Redox from Canada, you should use URLs with the region specified like this: https.[region].redoxengine.com
. Check out the examples below:
https.ca.redoxengine.com
api.ca.redoxengine.com
blob.ca.redoxengine.com
webhooks.ca.redoxengine.com
sftp.ca.redoxengine.com
If your organization in the Redox dashboard is configured with multiple regions, you can see the designated region on all the tabs of the Developer page.
This also means that there's an extra Region field whenever you're creating or editing an API key, endpoint, or other configuration. The modal below is just one example:
Just note that if you are part of another organization that's only configured for one region, you won't see these extra fields or columns on the Developer page.
